  1. I went to the White City Westfield Nike store with my disabled mother today (7/03/23) at around 2pm and chose 2 pair of trainers for her to try in 5.5.

I then liked a pair for myself and asked to try it in 4.5 and was told that each customer is only allowed to try 2 pairs.

Clearly my disabled mother is a customer and is entitled to try 2 pairs and I too am a customer and am entitled to try 2 pairs, although I only asked to try 1 pair. The shop assistant clearly didn’t count my disabled mother as a customer.

This was supposed to be a fun day out for us and I found his behaviour incredibly offensive.

I then asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager is away on holiday and they way the matter was dealt with by other representatives made the experience even worse!!!

It seems to me that either Nike is not recruiting the right people or not training them properly. Although you don’t need training to realise that a disabled person also counts as a customer.

  2. Nike has made a big mistake by basing an advert about women’s sports bra’s using a Transgender person. This individual doesn’t appear to need to wear a bra, yet Nike decides to hire this individual to showcase women’s bra’s. The reason women wear sports bra’s whilst training is to prevent her breasts from popping out of a bra. To use a Transgender model with zero boobs to showcase how good the bra is in keeping the breasts in place, is frankly disingenuous and wrong. Nike stop taking away women’s rights. Female women have breasts, your model doesn’t. We are sick to death of having our rights stripped away for a tiny minority of people. I have no issue with anyone who feels they were born in the wrong body. I have a huge issue with large companies using Transgender individuals to promote Female people who are born and develope breasts. Nike please use a female to promote your products. Women’s rights are being eroded everyday. It’s very upsetting. Thank you
