How to submit a complaint to the BBC?
It depends on the type of complaint. When it comes to conformity by the BBC with the privacy or fairness of its editorial guidelines, you have a preference. You may complain or, if you wish, directly raise your issue with Ofcom, which will determine your complaint against the Ofcom Broadcasting Code. Ofcom advises that you try to address the problem before you approach the BBC, and you can not continue concurrently with your case against the BBC and Ofcom. Please also remember that if you want to complain to the ICO about BBC breaches of privacy rules, you will have to complain directly to the BBC first.
You will need to complete the BBC complaints process before you report to Ofcom if your complaint involves any part of the Editorial Guidelines.
