Your Arriva bus company should apologise to the people of Great Wakering Essex for the shocking no.8 bus service.
We have heard all the reasons why this service is cut more than 50% of the time from 11am to 3pm.
This service should never be cut as there are only 2 buses an hour when running, yet the number 1 , 9 , and 7 buses run every 15 mins from Rayleigh through to Southend and onto Shoebury.
The no.7 bus always runs and follows almost the same route as the no.8 from Southend, the obvious answer is the no.7 bus from Southend should become a Great Wakering bus.
I was on the Arriva 229 this morning on the one that leaves at 7:20 at Huddersfield Bus Station going to work on Deighton Road – I rung the bell just by the bridge by Audi Car Garage – when he got on the straight away by Costcutters, he sped up & went right past my stop – there was also a lady who had her hand out at my stop & just drove right past her – had asked him to stop & he still didn’t – I then had to raise my voice & he then, only stopped at the next stop which was past my job – I said to him, I rang the bell twice & he went right past – he said he didn’t hear it so I said I rang twice & you also just ignored a lady who tried to flag him down – he was just very abrupt & was like well I didn’t hear it, I’ve stopped now so oh well – never apologized knowing full well he was wrong – also never had this happen my whole time getting the Arriva to work because I catch either of them – the 202 the 203 or the 229
